To 3). Keep the shape you got as shown in step 2 as reference. Then start all over again, but this time follow these steps:
1. Arrow: as per instructions.
2. Arrow: change setting of arrow to "Exclude Overlapping Shape Areas" and rotate canvas 180'. Make sure you have the shape icon in layers panel activated (not the color icon). Draw your arrow as per your reference.
3. Arrow: keep setting for arrow, but rotate canvas 90'. Draw your arrow as per reference.
4. Arrow: keep setting for arrow, but roate canvas 180'. Draw arrow as per reference.
PS: Have CS3 and wasn't able to follow instructions either.

could only get as far as step 3, as on the PC CS2 the "Exclude Overlapping Shape Areas" could not be selected, greyed out. is there another means of performing this step?
